With the property market hotter than ever, even more sellers are turning to property styling to help take their homes to the next level.
Preparing your property for sale is no easy task, so handing it over to the professionals is very appealing. We believe property styling is more than just filling empty rooms with furniture. That’s where we come in! At The Styling Edge we curate a look for your particular home. Everything we do is to enhance the homes features and sell a lifestyle to buyers.
We’ve been lucky enough to team up with Michael Dowling from McGrath Ryde to style several beautiful homes they’ve had for sale. Most recently, we transformed this newly renovated 4 bedroom Californian bungalow in Ryde into an entertainers dream home. It sold for an outstanding $2.14 Million!
Our objective was to give the large family room a feeling of warmth and create a space in which a buyer could imagine entertaining family and friends.
Getting the scale right was so important. To unite the original features of the home with the contemporary extension we used a modern take on traditional furniture.
We combined Bentwood dining chairs with a Scandinavian table and lounge furniture. Using on trend pieces and a soft colour palette we were able to appeal to a wider range of buyers. This stunning home attracted 125 groups of buyers to open homes over the campaign and an impressive 11 registered bidders on Auction day!
Our home staging process includes the following 5 steps:
- Initial walkthrough – We visit your property and discuss its potential.
- Home staging proposal – We put together a quote to ensure maximum market value.
- Furniture rental – We source beautiful pieces from our range to create a warm, inviting space.
- Staging the property – We bring all the elements together and stage your property over 4 to 6 hours.
- Removal – At the end of the contract period we remove all rental items.
In this process, we always ensure we take on an objective view of the home, weigh up what buyers in the area are looking for, and figure out strategies for making the home more appealing so that it looks extra impressive in online and newspaper listings.
With property styling becoming so popular, it’s crucial that your home stands out from the rest. A personalised look can help buyers visualise themselves living in the home and create an emotional connection that they won’t easily forget.
Our contemporary on trend look and personal approach has proved to be very successful with the local market in Ryde. If you are thinking of staging your home for sale, we would love to hear from you! Visit us at: www.thestylingedge.com.au

It is no secret that people are drawn to beauty. It is far more appealing to go to a park with nature’s beauty all around than to sit in a concrete car park to eat your lunch. It is no different when people come to your open home. The impression of what life might be like there can excite and enthuse potential buyers. Alternatively the thought of having to do lots of repairs and renovating can depress and disappoint.
Another consideration when deciding to style a property is your real estate photos. In this day of internet savvy buyers, it is important to present your home at its best on real estate websites and print media. This is the first opportunity you will have to entice people to buy your home and presentation is very important. Remember it is all too easy to just scroll to the next property. You only get one quick chance to get the buyers attention so don’t waste it!
Clever sellers realise that cost effective staging can be a lucrative investment in their home, offering great returns.
